Etchinghill Residents’ Association has developed a Good Neighbour Scheme for the benefit of residents.
Maybe you are feeling fed-up or lonely and just need to talk to someone or know somebody who needs company.
If you feel you, or a friend or neighbour, would find benefit from one-to-one companionship, we are there to help. We can offer a home visit, telephone calls, even a petting dog visit.
This is a facility for local residents only. We are not a “Care” service offering daily care in the home but a community service that offers companionship and a listening ear over a cup of tea or coffee.
This free scheme can operate with our residents for as long as they need us and can be terminated by either side at anytime, when they feel there is no longer a need.
Our volunteer visitors are DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked and trained for your protection and support. Visitors are not medically trained, so it may be appropriate for you to visit your GP and he or she will help you decide whether our service is appropriate for your needs.
To find out more, and maybe arrange a home visit, please email email@example.com with your name, address, telephone number and a brief description of your requirements.
Alternatively, please call 07934 160454 between 9 am and 5 pm Monday to Friday. If you receive an answerphone message, please leave your name, telephone number and address; our co-ordinator will contact you as soon as possible.
Any information disclosed, will be treated confidentially. Personal details will never be used in mailing lists held by the Etchinghill Residents' Association, or passed on to other associations, groups or businesses.
